See below for a summary from the Parents Association meeting held in January 5th 2015.
The Policy committee are due to meet in January to confirm the SNA and the Anti-bullying policy.
Parental Involvement: Each class teacher will be issuing a standardised letter in the next few weeks – this will inform parents about what is to be covered in class and include some helpful links and also the school homework policy for you to assist your daughter.
Car Park Safety - The Board of Management are issuing a letter to each parent to inform them of the rules of the car park. The safety of the girls is paramount and we ask that everyone takes extra care when using the school car park. Try to reverse into your car park space and always be patient.
We look forward to School website which is expected to launch by the end of January.
A committee made up of Board of Management, and Parents Association is meeting to submit an application to the Department of Education for funds to expand the school. The classrooms especially along the corridor are particularly tight in space and we hope this application will be successful in order to ensure ongoing health and safety concerns regarding space etc.
We hope to be able to generate local political support to help the request so if anyone can offer ideas/suggestions please send them into us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you think you can help.
Book Rental Scheme
We are looking to guage interest in setting up a book Rental scheme. We need to understand what is involved and canvass other schools to see how it works. If you are interested please let us know and if there is enough interest we will try to progress this. Again please email us with your views.
Mrs. Fahy would like to thank those who have sent back the voluntary contribution of €100(approx 45 families have sent it back)

We have started a discussion with Mrs. Fahy on the possibility of establishing a finance committee to use the available skills from the parent body to assist the BOM with regard to school finances. Let us know your views.
