See below for an update from the Parents Association meeting held on Monday 6th February 2012.  The following is a short summary of that meeting:-
During the last couple of weeks, the Works Committee of the Parents' Association has been extremely busy within the grounds of the school.  Work has started on the school orchard with a wheelchair friendly pavement into the orchard to be completed soon.  The car park has also been cleaned.  National Tree Week runs from 4th March to 10th March and Allied Irish Bank will be sponsoring some trees for the school.
RED DAY/Coffee Morning/Second Hand Book Sale                    10th February 2012                   9.30am - 11.00am
Children will be asked to bring in €1 for RED DAY and they can wear their own items of red clothing.  (Please ensure those classes who have GAA or PE on Friday wear suitable clothing).
Our coffee morning/book sale will commence at 9.30 for parents who can make it.
The children will be able to purchase childrens books once the coffee morning finishes.
There will also be a donation box for parents at the coffee morning and all funds raised during the coffee morning/red day and book sale will be donated to the LauraLynn Foundation.  More information about the Foundation can be viewed at

Please come along on Friday morning for a cup of coffee/tea, to purchase a book, meet some other parents from the school and also to support a wonderful charity.

Family Quiz Night                                                                      24th February 2012
Catholic School Week took place last week and the highlight of the week for Junior Infants was Grandparents' Day.  Each of the other classes undertook specific projects during Catholic School Week.  These projects did take up a significant amount of teaching time , so it was decided that Grandparents' Day be limited to Junior Infants.
The 'SAM MAGUIRE CUP' day was a great success and all the girls had a great time.
As always, if you have any questions or queries re: the above, please do not hesitate to speak to your class representatives or alternatively you can email in confidence to
