Mrs. Fahy thanked the Parents Association for a very successful year and noted the importance of parents’ involvement with the school. She expressed her gratitude to the parents involved in the many events held in the school, over the course of the past year. Concluding, she wished the new committee every success in their efforts over the coming year.
Dates for your Diary
Coffee morning and Cake Sale for all parents ( from 9.30am) and Cake Sale for the children will take place on Friday 26th October...so get your baking aprons on and come along and have a cup of coffee with the other parents in the school. Funds raised at the cake sale will be donated to the School itself.
The replacement of the furniture in junior infants is underway and due to be completed by the mid term break. First class has been delayed due to the confined space, and alternative furniture solutions are being looked at.
We are also funding the purchase of some unusual horse shoe style tables for the resource and learning support rooms...so we look forward to seeing these in place after the mid term break.
Mrs. Fahy reminded us that adherence to the uniform policy would be strictly enforced going forward as standards were dropping - boots are not part of the school uniform.
We hope to see usage of the Fizzbooks increasing across all of the classes now that the system has 'settled' in. Mrs. Fahy confirmed that if required additional training would be undertaken by any staff member who requires it.
